Kilgharah wrapped himself protectively around the young man he had met all those years ago. He could feel the pain radiating from him; Arthur's death still a bleeding wound in the boy's heart. He would stay with Merlin and tell him stories until his pain became a little more bearable, to help him forget, if only for a moment."

I feel like Kilgharah loved Merlin to some degree and would have watched over him for a time after Arthur's death. So there's my snippet of a fanfic. I think I was just as heartbroken as Merlin was when it ended. T_T "The story that we have been a part of will live long in the minds of men."... And it certainly will.

I've always loved the story of Arthur and the Knights of the round table, but I've been even more intrigued by the thought of Merlin. I absolutely loved the BBC series' take on "Merlin". The way they and Colin Morgan portrayed him.... I would describe him as a humble, kind, otherworldy being with the power of the universe in his soul. He could've ended all of it easily but chose to be a servant, not just to Arthur but to everyone he saw in need. "It's...lonely. To be more powerful than any man you know and have to live like a shadow. To be special and, and have to pretend you're a fool." One more fictional character I fell in love with.
