Don't be so harsh on yourself! To be honest, what I do t try to get better is the main thing is to try to draw as often as you can, get a lot of practice in. Try to figure out what you like and don't like about your art, and improve on those points. Sometimes it helps to look at other people's art for ideas.
(Sorry, random art advice. I just hate seeing fellow artists be hard on themselves, even though it's something I do to myself all the time).
