Hey folks!

Tonight's a two-for-one kind of night, so I hope you enjoy this glimpse into another guilty pleasure I'll be indulging in the near future.

As you must know if you follow my work, I'm a huge fan of the Warhammer 40,000 background and lore. And within all of its possibilities, the Necromunda underhive gangs are a particular favorite. As it was expected, I was overjoyed when I heard news of its latest release and updated miniatures and rulebook. There were a lot of inspirational new illustrations and themes and I've already had a few requests for some ganger material.

Part of those requests include a script that my friend and partner in crime Dave Pauwels, writer of FREE MARS came up with for me to illustrate, starring a young Escher juve and her misadventures in the foul places beneath the behemoth spires of the Hive. Thus, I present to you Vestas Phade!
It was extremely fun coming up with a concept within the Dark Millenium as it always is. Especially one related to a great piece of said background, which I hope I can do justice and explore. This young lady certainly has the looks of someone who's seen her fair share of strange and violent situations despite her age and I made it a point to make her not exactly perfect or a supermodel. I wanted her to look as real as possible within the context and her face to show the worn attitude of someone who's had to survive ever since she opened her eyes in one of the Imperium's colonies.

So, I'll have more news as I finish pages for this fun side-project and hope you'll join us and Vestas on our journey through the underhive
