A lil' sumthin' for y'all.Worked on this guy at work for my Manga Mania camp. I got the concept from a fish monster from the "The Monster Book of Manga", a really neat book with lots of cool drawings in it. They had this fish thing that looked kinda cool, but I decided to add some things to it to make it more...I dunno, me.
I really like the color in this one. The inking is okay, I lost most of my linework under the markers.
All in all, I like the different effects in it; I may continue this mixed media type of style.Techs: Airbrush, Prismacolor markers, and PITT pen on 10" x 14.25" manga art board.

It's an excellent book and series to learn the manga style- and to give you ideas in general. There's others in the series that I haven't picked up yet, but it's a great tool to have.

Ya, it's some korean movie coming out in only some American theaters. *shrug* Anyway, I saw it. It's a great movie. Or, you could be thinking that "The Host" is some horror movie about a guy who's hosting some horrific event. Dunno :]

Um, is the Monster Book of Manga mostly monster drawings or all character types?

It's all character types. The book ranges from girls to monsters to sci-fi to music genres and some other stuff. There's also the Monster Book of More Manga that I haven't had time to thumb through but will eventually.
