Actually, your grass looks fine. The forms of the tree trunks are something to be more concerned about.

I'm liking the structures in the background. In fact, the background as a whole looks pretty damn amazing. I'm liking the planet filled sky.

I'm actually wondering where you found the images of the planets, as I could use something like that as inspiration for future pieces. Care to share?

Thank you! 83

Believe it or not, I made the planets from a tutorial on good-tutorials.com a few years ago and just re-used them (I still have the file). XD

Unfortunately the tutorial I used is no longer working. DX But there are others you could use on there.

Well, if I need inspiration for planetary based backgrounds in my paintings, I shall look to this piece (And just directly rip off what you've created ). However I doubt I'll be doing anything of the sort until I've got my occult inspired art fixation out of the way. :3

Also, I feel I need to elaborate on what I meant with what I said about the trees in this piece. Thing is, from what I've observed, trees tend to be wider at the bottom and progressively get thinner to the top. Unfortunately, you've captured the tree trunks in a very warped manner, and the widths differ on an unnatural scale going to the top. Y'know, wider at the bottom, going thinner, then going wider again in the middle and then going back to getting thinner. I could understand if there were branches coming off at the middle point, but there is just bare trunk.

I suggest going out on a walk one day and spend it drawing trees to get an idea on the shape that they have on the trunks. That way, you'll have better looking trees in future pieces.

Mind you, I have to say that trees are a bastard to draw anyway, so I will commend you on your attempt, as I have a lot of difficulty in drawing the buggers without them coming off too cartoony.

I understand what you mean about the trees, now you've pointed it out. =X I may change them at some point. XD

There are trees at the back of my house, I didn't think once to look out at them. =O Shame on me!

I'm the same when I draw trees, they always look cartoony. I can not draw them with or without leaves either, especially without leaves, they just look stupid when I draw them. =X

Not the response I expected, but a good response all the same (As I was in a playful mood at the time of typing my original reply ).

No problem my dear.
