LORE:
Endermen are more draconic cause they are the children and servants of the Ender Dragon.They have an exoskeleton with a rib-cage wrapping around a spine that grows both on the front and back of them. Exoskeleton will expand and fold out when aggroed, releasing more of the contained Ender Dragons flame. When an Enderman is born out of an Enderpearl, she literally breathes life into them. They have to go back to the End approximately every 100 years to be gifted her breath again. Every time this happens, they evolve slightly, being able to contain even more of her breath, thus becoming more powerful. A young and inexperienced Enderman will leak her breath when teleportating which is why you see the purple particles around them. Elder Enderman rarely venture into the Overworld, but when they do, are practically impossible to be seen or stopped before its too late.
