Ikuda TsuoKnown as the hero Omni-White, Ikuda Tsuo is the current CEO of Lighthouse Corps , the largest and most beloved hero company in Akimori Prefecture . She is currently ranked as number 1 on the Akimori Hero Billboard due in no small part to her overwhelmingly useful quirk, Omni-White. This quirk is a mixture of her late father's (the founder of Lighthouse Corps), which could harness and control light, and her mother's, which allows her to teleport through line-of-sight. Tsuo has made a name for herself by combining her kind and genuine personality with her proficiency in Search and Rescue contracts. So long as there is ample white light, she is capable of teleporting perfectly at speeds so quick that she can essentially be 'everywhere at once', hence the name of her quirk. This allows her to quickly find injured civilians and kidnap victims or scout large areas almost instantaneously. In combat, she can condense white light into blades of various sizes. Unfortunately, she relies on ample luminosity for her powers to function stably, and she suffers from severe night blindness. In the dark, she can barely see and any attempts to teleport come with great risks.

If you haven't googled it yet, it's basically just that she can't see well in the dark. But even low-light is a problem, so for her, somewhat dark is really dark.

I've thought about it, but I think I'm really hesitant since I stopped watching SO long ago, and for it to be canon at all, I'd need to know more about the world and its events. There's just so much I'd need to catch up on.

Her ability is way more useful than the power of a BNHA OC I made for a forum based game. which was basically Metronome: The Quirk. The power could be literally any sort of ability once per hour, but the character had absolutely no control over what manifested ( the Moderators chose what I got at any given moment). It led to so many hilarious moments as well as awesome: which was perfectly fitting for BNHA xDD

Ha! Pokemon reference. But I think we have a similar thought process in RP forums, because Yorushi Niiro, my 13th Captain, had the same idea with which element he got when he released. I left it up to the moderators. That can make the roleplay part more reactive, which can make it a blast.

And I couldn’t agree more on that sentiment, it gives a RP a sort of level of excitement if you hand over a bit of your agency to the dice gods; the possibilities are endless of you don’t know exactly what you’re in for.

I've seen her around, yeah! I think I first saw her WAAAAAAAAY before I ever had even the most remote interest in BnHA. I feel like teleporting has so much potential. Even in the canon there are at least two characters I can think of that do it (All for One and that smoky-head guy). I think with powers like that and elemental ones, the spice comes from the twists OR, even better, from the character themselves having their own flair. Not everyone in BnHA is going to have some super unique ability. I mean... All Might, special circumstances aside, was just really, really strong.

Agreed!! Much like with Bleach I'm just super comfortable with making elemental abilities yet want to try things a bit different. So far I have an OC who uses fire and another who uses lightning ^__^ There are also a few basic abilities I've created that have twists to them as well (gravity, sound, and some others) And it's definitely fun trying to put your own twist on stuff.

I think it's to just try and relate a lil more to Nexus? Like, "Hey, my OC is kinda similar, let's gush about them!" Sort of deal? Some people genuinely want to show their OCs to others to headcanon / potentially have them be friends.
I tend to do that a lot with my own OCs when I see people in fandoms that I like - I'll go "Hey, my OC does __!" or "My OC's ability is this ___ I think they would work well together!" To try and spark more discussion about both OCs.
People that don't have (art) friends to do this with tend to resort to this option because they literally have no alternatives to gush about their OCs whilst simultaneously learning more about another OC they admire.
edit: granted, I will say this: There's definitely a lot better ways to go about it, but some people are vERY socially inept (me included due to autism) that make it hard to really understand what's socially acceptable. I noticed that this person listed ADHD as something they have, which can impact social skills in some people.. people with ADHD say what's on their mind without a filter sometimes because they just get really excited, and it comes off blunt / rude without intending to be? (My mom and bro have it, thats why I say this because sometimes they come off as mean when it's just unfiltered excitement)

I understand where you're coming from.
Even if the person is just attempting to befriend someone, it can just be rude/annoying sometimes as a content creator to have worked very hard on a character/piece to make it as original as possible only to have some random person come in expressing their own ideas without even asking first. I also personally see these types of comments as attempts to take away from the actual picture and have the focus on themselves when they could have clearly made their own post if they wanted to talk about their characters.
Also, a lot of times people don't want to see another person's OC or have a discussion. Nex didn't ask to see or talk about this person's character in his reply and yet they chose to share it anyways.
Like, it isn't the worst thing in the world to do this, but it can just be very frustrating sometimes. I hope my point makes sense.

I totally get where all of the concerns are coming from, but just to chime in since I happened to luck in on seeing this thread, I've known Scorch for, like... 6ish years or so and he's a friend of mine. So while it's definitely something that happens a lot all over the place and can certainly irritate people, especially when the person commenting doesn't have any relationship with the OC maker, Scorch safely does have a relationship with me, so the situation is different. Then again, there's no real way to know that from the outside, so I think this was just a misunderstanding!

It's all good! Issues like that are pretty huge in the OC community, right up there with 'this OC reminds me of X' or 'clearly inspired by x' or 'wow this is so OP'. These things can get passionate, especially for people who have their own characters and have such strong attachments to them. I'm glad I managed to luck upon it and clear it up!
