how do you get the skies like that? long exposure, yeah, but i do LE all the time and it doesn't make that effect. Is it cloud dependent?

Skies in the North Atlantic are very peculiar, for some reason. Once you've been there, you'll know what I mean. Of course there's an exposure effect on this shot but the sky itself won't bee seen anywhere else. There are no landmasses to slow down the oceanic winds, in Iceland. It creates very unique skies. Quite memorable.
