Origin:
When magic was once common place among men and fae one group stood as the law for all things magical, protecting men and creatures alike. The Magisters. They were a force of good in a chaotic world. But as magic weened and technology began to rise the need of these magical law men lessened as well. Today Magic is almost unheard of in the real world and the mantle of Magister has come down to one soul. But in fine tradition the Magister still protects from those forces that would wield magic for evil.

Enter Pope, the last Magister. Originally he was an entertainer and escape artist, inspired by his uncle. But when his Uncle was diagnosed with cancer the mantle was passed to Pope. Pope began to learn real magic and became the new defender of the realm. His uncle survived his treatment and now acts as mentor and teacher to the lastest in the long line of Magisters.

Idea:
I wanted to create a magic cop. Pope was how I wrapped my mind around it. I wanted someone who would have to cross into both the world of the Fae and Magic, but also walk in the real world. There are lots of little ideas that all came together in Pope's creation, bits from stories and movies. But I think a large part of the costume came from Loki's coat in the Avenger's movie.
I want to thank both Gary Pope and Jay Hernandez for the help throughout his creation. I've been working on this idea for some time. Gary helped me with the original concept, Jay drew this finished version. If you haven't checked wither of these fine artists out, you need to directly and give them some love.
