Woot!! I finished my Playing Cards assignment last week for Basic Design class, and this is how they turned out! Hehehe, I was so happy with them! Though colors was a bitch to work with, since we were forbidden from using Red and Black. So I gave mine a Mocha and Dark Chocolate tone.
I hope I get a good mark on this one.
The back of the card I just came up with now, because I had wanted to design one for the project (wasn't required) but I ran out of time. Oh well.
Other people in my class thought of awesome concepts. Like Alex, she did SUSHI playing cards! SUSHI! They were SO cute! and She's gonna sell 'em too at a small con here in Oakville this summer! XD

I collect decks of cards, and I love this design with all the swirls!
My only problem with them is that I break my cards in with solitaire, and the value isn't at the top, which does help with stacking. And poker would be hard too, no peeking. You beat me. It might be tough to peek a face card, since they are on all four corners, ya?

I love them! The colors are lovely. The dots on top of the cards is a very nice detail as well.

SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS!!! I love how the design carries so well through all the cards!
The only one I think I'm not as fond of is the Queen, and not because of how she looks or anything! I think it's mostly the line weight - the others have such thick juicy lines, she just looks out of place to me.
And the color scheme = WIN! I think so many times people get caught up in the 'rainbow' colors (not that that's bad, but this is just refreshingly different!) Makes me want chocolate! YUM!
You have a great sense of design obviously! Keep up the great work!

Yeah, i thought the same thing for the queen. when i sized her to fit, the lines weren't as thick as i thought they'd be. a lot of people said they still liked it, and i didnt have much time to change it, so i kept it.
