What's the wetland center like? I was a farlington marshes portsmouth today and yesterday - tons of waders and ducks down there.

yeah been meaning to head to farlington. Oddily enough i'm heading there tomorrow if the weathers good.
WWT costs £10 entry - its pretty good but theres only one lake you can get low down on and thats bad light past 2pm now
let me know mate and we'll head down there. I spent the day with a pro yesterday (well pro for 4 months). hes got around £40k worth of kit and was shooting with a 500 f/4 but he wasnt impressed with his 1d MKIII and that his MK IIs were better.

He was moaning about the shite AF. Hes got it sorted now but he was saying if Canon screw up the AF on the next camera their gonna be truly fucked on the market lol

Yeah, too many pixels in too small an area makes no scientific sense - it's just a marketing ploy to sell more cameras. I thought the AF was the same as before (probably wrong there) maybe he can't use it?? They can be tricky to get the hang of at first.

nope. Canon fixed an issue with the body when he took it back (and had a right go). Proved it wasnt him or his lenses with his shots from 2 seperate MKIIs on the same trip of the same thing. Apparently there are a tonne of people deliberatly destroying their MKIIIs and claiming off insurnace and trying to get hold of a MKII instead lol.

yeah sounds like it. Since he got it back and its working fine he loves it but canon treated him like shit.
He went in there and explained to this guy and the guy said it'll take 3-4 weeks, to which he was saying - you must be taking the piss. the canon guy said if you signed up with our pro program you'd have it back in 2 days but you havn't - so this photographer wasnt happy.
Then apparently this 6'5 brick shit house of a black guy walked in and hes thinking shit, its security and he asked if there was a problem. turned out he was one of the directors and the guy explained he'd spent 40k in the last 2 years on canon gear, and now beacuse he hasnt filled out a form on their website he has to wait a month for a repair.
The director guy took the camera and physchically shoved it into this canon reps chest so he nearly fell over and said 'Sort IT!'. he got the camera back next day lol
So apparently you have to have a right go at canon to get them to do anything lol.
