I drew this portrait of V blowing up the Old Baily and Lady Justice atop it because I believe we are in a very pivotal and dire time in our world today. It is a time were our freedom of speech is being shamelessly taken away by those who sell lies day to day to fuel their own interests. The Old Baily being demolished is just representative of our freedoms being raped. I have seen it with the dictatorship in my country, and sadly, I am now seeing it happen with the Julian Assange wikileaks case where they want to put an innocent man into jail simply for telling the crimes of the Iraq war to the unknowing public.

I'd hope such evil would only be concentrated on few places at a time, but a lie is a macabre tool governments around the world have used for ages and are using now more than ever to start pointless wars and take what riches their land owns.

But thankfully, the Earth still has us, the artists who dream of being free to express ourselves openly without getting censored for what we think. We are this planet's most valuable resource and we are an army armed with ideas and creativity that is too numerous for any weapon to stop. This painting is my grain of sand, to remember those who see it of "what they have forgotten." Support freedom of speech by looking more into these issues, past the lies the television has become. Let's destroy ignorance today!
