I just noticed that I didn't udpate my daily moleskine
...I like drawing from life,I learn so much by doing it. I don't really learn/remember how to draw background.
But I learn how to "feel" the background that's something I'll never get with photos.
Moreover, it's like a game to me... I have to fight against patience, the cold, people watching me, how much time I can stand etc etc... this is real drawinggggggggggg.
sometimes I lose the fight , sometimes I win...
yeah If I didn't have this crush for comics, I would draw outside everyday (and learn how to paint too huhu).

Yeah, that's my aim this year. To practice backgrounds and maybe finally have really pieces, with an actual background.
I would also love to be drawing outside more but never seem to find the time. Not to mention that you'd freeze instantly out there at -10°C

do you have any tips for drawing backgrounds? For example where to start or the process that you go through when you first start? I've been trying to some background stuff but i get lost very quickly.

hmmm, first try to find the vanishing point and the perspective, then block in the big shape and try to get the right proportion, most of the time the proportions is a little bit wrong. The most important is to make it believable. It's drawing not a picture that was taken with a camera ^^.
