Description
Wądroże Wielkie gneiss massif. Vein quartz in caolinised gneisses - the outcrop at the edge of Wądroże Wielkie village. Bedrock natural outcrops in Sudetic Foreland are rare breed so I price dearly every one of them I can find and photograph.
Unfortunately there isn't any information about the geosite around it. The only description one can read in place is the legend about Saint Hedwig of Silesia who according to it was returning this way to her abode after finding dead body of her son Henry II the Pious on on the battlefield of Legnica . She had stood on one of these rocks to take her last look in the direction she had burried him and to pray and because used to travel barefoot and was very tired even the stone was pitying her and melted under her foot and the footprint of sorrowful duchess remained there for next ages.
