ENG: Natural Reserve Crveni potok (Red creek) is located in the depression of oval shape on Mitrovac plateau in the middle of Tara National Park (Serbia).
The Reserve got its name Red creek after the creek running trough it flooding the soil composed of red clay in its upper flow. During the heavy rainfalls it gets a red colour. The reserve is overgrown with mixed forest of spruce, fir, alder and Pancic spruce.

By the year when the Reserve was established, there had not been any substantial lumbering in the locality Crveni Potok (Red creek). That's why the forest of a rainforest type was preserved.

SER: Prirodni rezervat "Crveni potok" se nalazi na visoravni Mitrovac u središnjem delu Nacionalnog parka Tara. Naziv je dobio po tome što kroz njega protiče potok koji se u svom gornjem toku razliva preko zemljišta sastavljenog od crvene ilovače tako da u vreme jačih padavina dobija crvenu boju. Rezervat je obrastao mešovitom šumom smrče, jele, jove i Pančićeve omorike. Do proglašenja rezervata na lokalitetu Crveni potok nije bilo intenzivnije ekspolatacije šuma zbog toga je ovde očuvana šuma prašumskog tipa.
