Lesson 1: Broken Beauty

" Those beautiful in mirror, are more ignorant than they appear. Beauty is not everything and those corrupted by the thought only lead themselves to an obsessed lifestyle of constant need for perfection...which than leads to a hideous conclusion. Poisoned by these thoughts, the person people once knew becomes trapped inside; coming out only when the mirror turns black or once porcelain skins begin to crack from regret. But, by then, it is too late. Even beautiful dolls break sometimes..."

I'm not to sure how I came up with this drawing or "Words of Wisdom" (If thats what they can be considered). I guess the idea just popped in my head. Was researching a little about Geisha, and I have a dark Geisha doll in my room. Guess that could be one part of inspiration. Another part of inspiration for this could be the constant magazines or tabloids of celebrities in every supermarket imaginable. Don't you ever get sick of hearing how they're doing their (exaggeration but) 10th plastic surgery? They all bitch and moan when they are already fine with how they look...but yet its not good enough, and in reality trying to make yourself perfect just makes it worse.

Anyways, I drew this with pen and a fine tipped red sharpy marker.
