He looks a bit older than I think i'm used to seeing. I dont know if it's just because of your own art style, or some other factor, but I like it.
I'm also interested in the way you did the sand. It's a bit like smoke, but it's really, really good, and kind of the way I picture one of his sand attacks might look when it's just moving and not trying to crush you right that minute. How did you produce that effect, if you dont mind me asking?
10/10 on this one. Very eyecatching. Love it.

I think it's because of my art style..
For the sand I just use some smoke brushes and photoshops dissolve setting.

I really like the way your shading look. However, your sand seem more like a smoke. Maybe I assume you need to add up more details on grains of each sands if Gaara already look realistic.

In love with the sand effect you have going on there. I think you did a famous character real justice in your own style, which can be very hard to do when you aren't going for the exact same look that the original artist made. I think this is a great return back to us! I hope to see more soon.
