This took me almost a year to complete - and yeah, partially due to lack of motivation since progress was so slow when you have to sew on so many leaves one by one and everything from the hips up is stitched on by hand.I have no idea how many hours of work (and TV shows) I spend on this. Now all I need is a cool autumn headdress and an occasion to wear it!
Base is a lovely evening robe I found on ebay - so it came with an underskirt and a hidden zipper but looking back it wasn't the best choice to start with a finished dress since it required more hand-sewing than would have been necessary if I had assembled the dress myself.

No, it's fabric leaves, you can get them for decoration.

I searched ebay for them out of season (I think I bought autumn themed left over decoration the whole spring) - so they are not all the same but the mix worked out fine.
