in japanese, the alphabet has sounds rather than letters:3
the sounds pertaining to r; are:
ra [ as in car]
ri [pronounced ree]
ru [pronounced roo]
re [pronounced reh; ]
ro [pronounced roh; ]
but you see for these sounds, r and l are interchangable. so the world 'rap' can be mistaken for lap xD and the word 'love' for ruv' ..
and because l and r are interchangable, kirara can be read as both kilala and kirara:3
