OH MY GOD. D-:< Why doesn't anyone like the scene in Case 5 of the First Game (DS) when Ema's all like "Distract Edgeworth" so Phoenix is all like "Is that Gumshoe outside, OH NOES HE'S FALLING TO THE GROUND" And Edgeworth doesn't do anything. xD

I actually can't decide which of the games were my favorites. They were all extremely kick-butt. In the first game, you were a complete newb taking on prosecutors with perfect records (Manfred Von Karma was, without a doubt, the hardest and most intimidating prosecutor in the series, hands down) and heads of large blackmailing corporations with the judicial system in his pocket. The second game's final case was extremely awesome with the hard choices and alternate endings, as well as an emotional storyline. The third game had all that you described above and was very awesome. I seriously can't decide. The final cases in every game are always the best. I hope Apollo Justice lives up to the high standards...

The series has to be taken as a whole. The characters and story evolve throughout all three games. There's not really anything quite like the Ace Attorney saga. At least, nothing with such a passionate fanbase.
I really enjoyed the first Apollo Justice game, although the fall of Phoenix Wright is quite depressing. I think the AJ:AA series will grow as more installments are released.
