Here's a true story...When I was a kid I loved VOLTRON! I had the Panini sticker album and everything. I would save up my allowance to get those stickers to finish my book. Then when I finally got all the stickers I needed and was walking home from the corner store...WHAM!!!...a lady runs a stop sign, slams into me and the last thing I see before I blackout is all my Voltron stickers flying through the air. I remember reaching out for my Witch Haggar hologram sticker. Next thing I know I'm in an ambulance and the first thing I'm asking for is, "Where are my Voltron stickers? Did someone pick them up?" I didn't even know or care if I was bleeding! "Calm down." the EMT says. "CALM DOWN?" did this guy know how many chores I had to do? How hard it is to complete a Panini sticker book? Anyway, I spent way to many allowances after that and was never able to complete the book.
Thankfully, many years later Devil's Due (Big Up Mike O'Sullivan!) was able to grant me some solace by allowing me to do a special Cartoon Tribute cover for their newest Voltron series written by Devil's Due president himself, Josh Blaylock!

Did you know that Voltron was originally a Japanese anime called "Golion"?
It is actually a pretty gory anime too. If you check out "Golion" on Youtube, you can see some of the uncut footage and I bet that you'll be pretty shocked to see that one of your favorite childhood memories was originally a Gore-fest.
Also, Do you remember that Scandinavian dude on the show named Sven? Well, in the "Golion" version, he was not just injured, but FATALY injured. In fact he died. Sure he came back later in the show, but that was acutally his kid brother in the original version.

Thank you for your comments. However you are talking to a Voltron SUPER-Nerd! Yes, I did know your tidbits of cool info. BUT did YOU know: That There are actually THREE Voltrons? The Vehicle Voltron (Voltron I) was to be the protector of the near Universe (Ours), Then the Lion Voltron (Voltron III) was the protector of the far Universe, AND there was another Voltron! Voltron II (Gladiator Voltron) protector of the middle universe. **Extra Bonus geek tidbit... That cartoon was based on an anime called "Lightspeed ElectroGod Albegas"
