Great job, Lynn. The expression, so vital to the portrait, is all there, perfectly rendered, right where the eyes fall on the figure! It's a "10", let's face it!

I'd been wondering if you'd get back to this style of portrait again. I think you have a special knack for it, and they should always be able to find someone who really wants and values them. I certainly look forward to them. When I did your feature last week, I actually noticed that your works are in four or five categories, generally, and this category is quite popular because of the special attention you take with the expression. In fact, it's what I first noticed about your work last year.
I forgot to mention how painterly it looks. In the Full View, it is even more emotional and sympathetic!

I know exactly what you mean. I never achieved the ultimate status of being able to draw well, although I was getting good, and painting from life, which many painters hold up as a article of great pride. I guess one could add to the list the ability to paint great frescos way up on scaffolding in the Cathedral ceiling, like Correggio, Michelangelo, etc.,etc. That would be the ultimate, but that world is really Gone With the Wind, isn't it, really.
