a shimmery kingdomfalls off my brush
of artificial beauty,
mascara and blush.
the girl subjects use makeup to hide
behind oily masks
used only for what they think
boys define as hot and upper class.
the people of the kingdom
only think beauty counts
they grab their make up
and tell mother nature to sit her tush down;
natural beauty can't be tolerated.
all they want is
fame, fortune, and sex
so they go to their vanity's
putting the mirror to the test.
little do they know
that mother nature is angry
so she makes occurrences take place
that leave all the girls screaming.
the shimmery kingdom
became a reality
makeup couldn't fix
what mother nature named ugly.
boys became repulsed
even the queen shook her head
she cast out a new rule;
may makeup be a choice, no longer a fret.
