Iphigeneia and Gervais thought that bringing Death straight to civilization would overwhelm her so they decided to start by showing nature.Last week I saw really cool Skyrim screenshot and as a practice decided to paint it (and I got bit carried away). Then this week I realized that I won't have that much time to draw, meaning that if I tried to draw FoD picture from start to finish I probably wouldn't finish it in time. So I took this background and slapped characters there, problem solved. Except I can't find the original screenshot I used as reference! I'd really like to credit the person who captured it T__T

This. This is breathtakingly beautiful, with an incredible colour palette and both a surreal and captivating use of brush strokes/textured brushes to create rugged rocks and swirling clouds. Painting this much level of detail is astonishing; your backgrounds are generally fantastic but you have clearly pushed yourself to achieve even more here. I would honestly be so proud of this.
My favourite part? Iphigeneia and Gervais wanted to show Death nature but, given the origin story of how you were so inspired by a screenshot you wanted to paint it, you have also shared part of yourself with Death, too. ♥

There was so many things and sights to see, that it felt that no time would be enough. But.. What they did see, was worth every second.
