I always join the eggheads in Oblivion Lost. In OL2010, you can have Sid hook you up with any faction right from the start.

Have you tried Call of Chernobyl yest? MANNNNNNNNN it's so awesome! NO story, no limitations, tons of added levels, little funny dynamic quests to keep you running around, and you can do a custom character WITH custom profile pic and a name and faction and SO MUCH AWESOMENESSSSS

Someone posted this in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R thread of a forum I frequent and even though I'm kinda late I need to say I absolutely love this! I've had this situation happen to me too many times, now I just lob grenades in the dog's general direction and run like hell. It was even more frightening when on certain mods you would stutter just before entering the Bar.
Again, awesome art and I'm glad I found your page! Hope to see some more later on
