Alice swung onto the bay mare and gave her a pat as they headed toward the starting line os the 2013 Equicolor Cross Country Run. Elena shook her head from the sidelines, concerned about how wicked would react to the frightening paint buckets. She had tried to convince Alice not to go, but to no avail. When Alice sets her mind to something, she is not going to change it, and the show was rather nearby Falcon Creek, local Big Bear.
A whistle was blown and the pair shot off into the scenic forest. Alice locked her legs in place as paint cascaded from hidden spots in trees, bushes, even an innocent patch of flowers could conceal bright, non-toxic color. Wicked, however, was not amused. As the first drop of paint landed on her glossy flank, she rocketed away, at speeds challenging a racer on the track. Holding on for dear life through the whole course, Alice couldn't help but grin as they flew through the finish line, dripping with colours and, somehow, in one piece!
