I was fairly drunk-ish each time I felt like working on this. Ah, the holidays. Best game ever by the way... I'm sure Ill do more okami fanart in the future. These two girls are sisters, in the game the little sister is certain the wolf is a god because of the "makeup". The older sister does not believe in gods so she only sees a pure white wolf and claims her little sister is making up stories.Related content

The elder sister's mind can't comprehend the existence of gods and thus her mind can not process anything her senses tell her that hand her something she can't comprehend. Or perhaps refuses to comprehend.

I think it's a very nicely done portrait of these characters with Amaterasu, though they were minor in the game. You have captured the childlike innocence of believing in the younger sister!

Their names are Camille and Camilla, you're right!
You can make the older sister belive, by hitting her, making tree's appear, and by making it rain when she asks for it!
She belives at the end of the Game, and says sorry for not beliving earlier! (Such a touching moment...)

I agree, get out there right now and buy it. I did and it became one of the best games I have ever played. It was only $39.99 Canadian for me, which was an absolute steal.
Excellent artwork by the way. I am impressed that you were buzzed when you worked on it because it looks amazing. I liked those two and was happy to see the outcome of Amaratsu's interactions with them.

Oooh, it's rare to find realistic digital paints of Okami. You have my respect.
I love the skin toning on the sisters (forgot their names), the coloring on them is gorgeous too. Same goes for Amaterasu, her fur looks great. 
The cherryblossoms in the back are nicely done too, oh the softness.
