Here's the latest 'Invader Zim evil twin'; this time, I did Zim. I figure that, while 'Nega Zim' is much more competent than his mirror universe counterpart, he has some self-image problems...Sadly, I don't think this is quite as horrific as either Nega Dib or Nega Gaz, but I can always do Nega Bitters if I want to frighten people

My backstory on Nega-Zim is that he was actually sent as a diplomat, rather than a conqueror; his "disguise" isn't meant to hide his identity, but is just supposed to make his appearance more acceptable or indicate interest in the Nega-Earth lifestyle, so that Nega-Earthlings might be more open to diplomatic relations. Unfortunately, even though Nega-Zim is competent, everyone just thinks of him as a nerdy kid, and not an alien.

More or less. The goal of the Nega-Irken "Alliance" is to connect various planets through diplomacy, rather than conquest, so it's important to have figures to build goodwill and make interplanetary alliances possible.
As you might have guessed, I mulled the idea for a Nega-Zim fic around after I worked on this series of pictures. Unfortunately, I lost the motivation to write it out. Perhaps I'll put together an outline one of these days.
