Description
So these days I came up with this new project. An early megaman manga. Childish looking more than chibi i'd say.The story will be based in the first games of the original series and the earlier times (protoman/blues era previous to rockman) in flashback episodes.
I got Blues design, and I like it. I think he still looks Blues without the helmet and the sunglasses xD
Well, but this is Rock. Just a quick sketch, nevermind the details.
I'm using the original names. Yeah, english names just suck. I mean, come on, how could the name of a main character be "mega"?
And... R for Rock is a working title. I just invented it now.

"Mega" may not be so hot alone, but "MegaMan" sounds way better than Rockman. The latter sounds like a golem or earth elemental.

Well, I admit they don't really suck, but I still prefer the original ones. I think the musical names are more fitting than those american comic strip names. Nothing bad with them, though.

Yeah the musical refernece is nifty, but given the context the name 'Rockman' doesn't really work. If the games were music related than it would work, but since it's about robots some of which utilize element based attacks 'Rockman' could mean throwing rocks or using earth in some way.
To me it's like calling a merperson Flare or something.

Actually, he was named "Rock" in the American version, too. He was named Rock, and became Mega Man when Dr. Wily attacked. (In the comics, they changed "Rock" to "Rocky", but that isn't much differen)
But for some reason, when Mega Man Powered Up came out, they changed the name Rock to Mega o_O It was really stupid, I still call him Rock, hehe. Much cuter <3
