inspired by [link] and [link] to take my own shot at designing more modern outfits for the Magic School Bus kids.

Someone (I forget who now) mentioned here [link] that the kids were probably born around 86 or 87, so that puts the kids at being just a little younger than me, which puts them in the middle of college!

I like to exaggerate and make fun of the current fashions I see on campus. This most recent version pulls out interesting fashions I've seen recently, mixed with what the magic school bus kids normally wear.

Oh... and I really tried not to make it shippy this time... but as you can see, they're still paired some what *sorry!*

And... each of them I tried to show what I think they might be taking in college... (I believe that all the kids should go into some sort of science-related career! hehe)

Phoebe: Sorry Phoebs... the shorts/jumper thing had to go, lol!. What's with the longer undershirt thing that's going on? her pins are supposed to say "Save the ..." and "hug a tree" which I know you can't read. But the idea is she either goes into something to do with the EPA or becomes a vet
Tim: I think he should become a Civil Engineer (so some sort of architect). And I decided I didn't want to do any sterotype satire here... this is what I really picture Tim wearing, lol.
Arnold: Geology, of course. The yellow shirt is based on one I saw on campus, but since our school colors are blue and gold, that might make it particular to this school... of course his pants have pre-made holes in them *roll* He's nervous because Wanda is talking about field trips.
Wanda: Sporty... and I think she should do some sort of field research... but I haven't figured out what yet.
Carlos: The character I can't seem to decide what degree/career he should go into, maybe I need to watch more episodes (which I want to anyway). He's wearing a hoody, even tho it's hot outside, lol! And I really wanted someone to be wearing those ugly shorts that I've seen guys wearing, lol! I really should have made more than him and DA wearing flipflops tho, those are still realllly in He's being chewed out by Hermione... her I mean DA for not having his textbooks with him.
Dorothy Ann: Her skirt is now denim and she's sporting one of those tops that make skinny girls look pregnant, lol, you know which ones I'm talking about. I keep trying to find some cute ones for my sister-in-law who really is pregnant but she's so skinny you can't tell, lol! oh year... DA is going to be a nuclear physicist of course!
Keesha: She's also wearing one of those tops, but I saw a couple of these one day and decided it needed to be in the picture, a lighter shirt over a darker one and it V's in the back (not very common, I think). And Kapri pants with a snub comment on the backside. I don't like those, but I can see Keesha wearing one. I've never seen one that says "get real" on it, but I think it'd be really funny and fitting for Keesha (the realist of the class). Her books in her bag are "theories" and "proofs". I think when she gets to geometry class in high school she'll discover that proofs are a lot of fun to do and therefore does some sort of logical philosophy degree in college.
Ralphie: Sorry, all the jerseys I see here have numbers... but I do have his last name on his back. He's probably on the football team at school. But he's definitely not going to do that as a career... he should definitely keep sports as a hobby, not a career. My original idea for him was to work for SETI, so that's why he has "Cosmos" because he's studying astronomy. But maybe after working at SETI for a time, he and Keesha go to work as Mythbusters

Um... yup!

this is just the summer styles... maybe I'll do another fashion exaggeration when the colder weather comes (which is upon us... grrr, I wanna wear shorts and sandals forever!)
