Description Taken near White River Ontario. For those who do not know the history of that town, that is where Winnie the Pooh came from. Not the story, but the actual real life bear from the stories came from there.

This is a cool angle and effect! I used to have a Winnie-the-Pooh when I was real little.

Thank you very much, yeah Winnie the Pooh is such an iconic character, this small town is down below 1000 residents... it would be a shame for the town to get too much smaller.

This is a great "lonely rails" shot. There is a sense of distance, both linear and temporal.
The train has long departed, and we wait for its return.
But like Godot, it never will.

how-ever truth be known, the train came by about 30 mins after I took this shot, I had to hurry to a safe area so I didn't get hit.

you took this at f 2.8 !
i'm surprised because had you taken this at your lens's highest f. number, the DOF would have been good probably from less than a foot to infinity.

but it is very nice.

Yeah, I was going for a narrow DOF. I had done a few others at different f stops, but none got the image I had in my mind.

This is a little east of the city, back on some questionably private property, but I wasn't sure. I was there for work, doing some water sampling.
