Description "A place where there isn't any trouble. Do you suppose there is such a place, Toto? There must be. It's not a place you can get to by a boat or a train. It's far, far away. Behind the moon, beyond the rain... "

So here they are.. the Ruby Slippers that Dorothy lost on her way home. Those that once belonged to Nessa Rose....

Photos taken by: me.
Shoes were bought at Harrods, so some rights belong to Harrods and Warner Bros. for the shoes and the movie...

Last year on a sunday morning in October I was walking along Harrods in London and there I saw it. Huge windows presenting the Wizzard of Oz for the 70th anniversary. So I thought I had to go in there and take a look.

And then I saw them ... the most stunning shoes I've ever seen. And I needed to have them

For those asking ... it's true, I clicked the heels and a little while later that day I was brought back home But other then in the movie the shoes are still here with me

"Dr. J.B. Worley: And how did you come back from... Oz?
Dorothy: With my ruby slippers.
Dr. J.B. Worley: How did they work?
Dorothy: You put them on and you click your heels three times, and you say "Theres no place like home".
Dr. J.B. Worley: Dorothy, where are those slippers now?
Dorothy: I lost them. They fell off on the way back."

Nice score... The big question though...

Do you have a handbag that goes with them?

£29.95 ^^ And thank you, I love them soooo much
They had some a little different for kids as well they were at a price of £19.95.

But they're sold out. They got sold out really fast. (I was really lucky being there at the right time) You can probably find them on ebay. Found some pairs listed there for about 150-300€.

Thanks ^^ Yep that's what I thought the moment I saw them ^^...

Well I sadly they were sold out pretty fast.. and they weren't expensive ^^... I mean I was in London in fall and just went to Harrods because my mom wanted certain pens. (I wouldn't have been there if mom didn't tell me to go). And then I saw all the Wiz of Oz stuff there I was like 'they must be expensive'. But they weren't.
I looked up the price and it read '£29.95'. The ones for children were about '£19.95'.
Was the last money I spent in London before getting on the plane home in the evening. Well I had £35 in my wallet and that was just perfect

Probably you will find a pair on ebay or somewhere else... But they cost much more there.. Saw some for 230€ last week.

If only I had been in London! That's such a great deal on those shoes...but 230 is a bit much for me right now. Thank you so much for letting me know
