Description Ahhhh, those dark evil bastiches, the Deatheaters. You know you love them. So an afternoon spent Snape-making (for the Wiktt contest), fun with blurs and brushes, cutout and watercolor filters, think it came out with a nice solid look. BUT I know this thing needs something. I dunno what. I tried a ghosty girl, a few boarders, a dark mark floating and a few other things but I just don't know. Any suggestions?

Oh! I do love this painting, snape fan you see, but perhaps it just needs the tiniest contrast. But it's still very dark, and ghostly. Excellent!

I would suggest increasing the contrast on the left portion of the drawing, to balance out the picture. It doesn't need any other figures or objects, just enhance what you have now.

Ah, I *love* this! Dark, moody dudes in cloaks always get me.

What to do? Obviously, as you probably already figured out, it's waaay unbalanced, with all the focus on the figure on the right, kinda reminding me of an image created for a book cover. Question is, what do you want your focal point to end up being? Too much on the left, and people will be drawn to it...

In my mind, when I look at this, I keep seeing some kind of illumination from the lower left, almost like a fire or maybe some kind of firefly-looking things. Light, but not very much, still enough to balance the pic properly but not to overwhelm. And something that doesn't have to cast too much light on your figure, with all those wicked shadows. Then again, maybe it's what you're going for...?

Very cooL

J
