I'll admit it loudly and proudly that Ritchie is one of my favorite characters in the Pokémon anime.This was at a "Who's that Pokémon?" trivia panel, by the way. Naturally, the answer "It's a Jigglypuff as seen from above" was shouted out frequently XD . It did turn out to be the answer to one of the questions though! Specifically, during the final section of questions where we had to guess an artist's rendition of a Pokémon before it was done.

You know what always bugged me about Ritchie he looks just like Ash and NO ONE noticed! Team Rocket doesn't even confuse them !

I think I only vaguely noticed the resemblance, mainly in that he also had a Pikachu
