Description Forgot to upload this for you guys as well ♥ I've been a fan of these two for years just like you (probably) and  Ihad my own reasons why I supported them - no matter what happened in the end. I always believed Kishimoto wanted these two to be together, hence all the foreshadowing, chara growth and paralels..... I don't know why he would highlight the things he did in the blatant way he did, if it wasn't so....or maybe he just wanted to make us believe it. Anyway, I'm still a supporter of these two but I accept what Kishimoto decided to do. As much as I thought I won't be able to handle the end and draw anything Naruto-related, I was wrong.. I love these two very much, same with Neji and Hinata. So I hope we can all keep all the good things we got from supporting and learning from these characters and let everything else go. Thank you for supporting TUQ and Terrace! I may change some intended things for the end, inspired by the new character designs. Take care!

You have no right to spoil my art with your comments, one more word from you and I am seriously going to block you for sure. Stop harrassing people you know sh*t about and enjoy your canon pairing in peace. The whole manga was no contest for shippers, no horserace to place your bets into - if you rooted for NH then it's all good, if someone else rooted for NS/SK/whatever, is also ALL GOOD. This was my last warning, good day.

It almost felt he gave up towards the end. Idk if I'm reading too much into it but the final battle felt rushed and we didn't get to see everyone's happily ever after. And Sakura's end of going back to her usual old self despite her "growing up" felt like he didn't care how she got stronger too. A nicer ending would have been her saying "Yuo can come find me when you're ready" or something like that lol

Either way, this is just like the hermionie/harry thing when the author made a mistake. In ten years we might get the same announcement. These two felt meant for each other and in the end, its their characters and their struggles that kept our hearts. 83

You clearly didn't read the manga :v Sakura started acknowledging Naruto long time before the village did, even before sasuke, her crush, left. And think about the reason why Sakura "lied" to him, if you're talking about Sakura's "fake confession", she may not did it well that time, but at least she tried, and why? Because she cares about Naruto, and wanted to set him free of that promise. So, again, you clearly didn't read the manga.

One last word from me - if you had some childhood trauma because of some girl treating you like sh*t, it's very sad...but you know - not all girls are like that. And also for the future - girls are not perfect. If you are searching for someone like Hinata to treat you right, you'll have to accept that even that person will have her flaws, just like Sakura. If you can't accept a good character just because she made mistakes and had flaws, then be prepared, for reality is different and sometimes the people who seem most-flawless are hiding very big flaws and vice versa. Sakura was a far more popular female to female audience, exactly because she was ver human-like. Unlike Hinata who was a perfect cookie-cutter wife in some aspects. She was still likable even to me, but she was far less human/down to earth/realistic than Sakura. Sakura may have treated NAruto like a kid in the FIRST chapters, but in Shippuuden not anymore.

There was an interview Kishi did where he said he had planned for Naruto to end up with Hinata (though I DID hear of him wanting NaruSasu, but I'm not sure if that's true or not though), but he didn't even contemplate NaruSaku until he heard of the fans drawing the parallels between Sakura and Kushina and so he realized they would be a good match and it would make sense, though he stuck with NaruHina in the end~

However in my opinion, Sakura and Naruto really have a family kind of relationship to me, Sakura is more like a sister most of the time and at times a mother-figure, at least that's what I see.  She may have been Naruto's first crush and maybe they would've been a great couple (though I personally don't care for Sakura's character at all).
However, as admittedly stalkeriss and frustrating (in regards to her fainting) Hinata can be, she was the only one that ever cared about Naruto out of the Rookie 9 from the beginning.  She admired him, she grew to love him, she drew her strength from his support, she gave him all of hers...she was sweet and soft-spoken and her personality was complimentary to Naruto's louder and more abrasive one.  They weren't opposites, they had the same heart and beliefs when it came to strength and the shinobi way, but how they presented themselves was what made them seem like opposites...

I guess you can tell I'm a NaruHina fan though I respect your choice shipping~ we all have our different opinions~~

NejiHina would also be cute, even though I'm not big on incest couples even if the whole cousin/cousin thing is normal in Japan.  However I'm not judging on that, seeing as I have my own peculiar interests lol...

You do know the manga is canon, the movie (which is written by Kishimoto) is canon, and that Shippuden is not, right? That is handled by different writers and directors for certain episodes and even fillers?

Very true ,Sakura stepped up to the plate and became a great friend and support to Naruto and I won't deny that~ without her I can only imagine how heartbroken Naruto would've been~ That didn't mean Hinata stopped supporting him though, just as she always did...it may have been in her usual quiet manner, just like when they were kids, but she supported him~ NH may have been slight luck, if Hinata had never said anything I doubt it would have ever happened...though I'm not surprised by SS though I expected more of Sakura too...not to end up as her former sniveling fangirl self :/ I guess it's all a matter of opinion~ NaruSaku definitely would've made sense and been MUCH healthier for Sakura lol

Dear, I don't have a problem with naruhina per se....my only problem is that kishimoto didn't give them enough space - or at least, not to the extent he did with sasusaku/narusaku. That's why the end seemed really forced - Naruto didn't even touch Hinata till Neji died...I mean....that's sad? And then he ends up marrying her although he barely knows her? Maybe the movie will somehow make it at least a bit more legit....but seeing that they need a movie to wrap it up and use Nana Mizuki's voice for the OST with a special song to gain even more money is sad and puts naruhina in a worse light than it deserves.
I do agree though that Hinata's feelings never wavered and there was not even a single time I doubted her feelings for Naruto. But I really wanted her to become the Hyuuga heiress so she would show that she also had other dreams, not just becoming Naruto-kun's. Same with Sakura - I believed she become strong independet woman but instead, she lowered her self to the sasuke fangirl...after 600+ chapters. That's also sad. I don't like it, someone might like it but not me.

There are tons of interviews that the fans pull out but never source them. I also heard a rumor about kishimoto stating that his assistant liked hinata so much that he wanted her to become heroine. Kishimoto stated after that he likes sakura the way she is and that he's okay with her being the heroine. I heard another rumour that he stated sakura was designed after his wife.... or that Oda said once on a party that kishimoto's wife is exact like sakura. Etc etc.

I wanted an ending that would make the most of all the character developement, not only romance - in this case, narusaku was the best option of all. It had depth, it made the characters shine and sasuke didn't deserve sakura.

Oh I know you don't have a problem with it, nor do I mean to imply such~ and you've made some good points and I can completely understand it.  You are right, Kishimoto hardly gave them the screen time and proper amount of interaction to make it seem natural, and that does bug even me.  I can hope and imagine that Naruto talked to Hinata more off screen (or tried to anyway, considering her fainting habit prior to her confession).  I also like to imagine that after the war, in the time frame between chapters 699 and 700, he might've gotten to know her better, they'd start dating, all of that like a normal couple rather than just appear to suddenly return her feelings and marry her out of the blue...

However because hardly anything was shown it just doesn't leave a satisfying taste in the mouth of even a NaruHina fan (except maybe a rabid one)...so yes, I agree with you there~ it was completely sad that he didn't touch her (in any romantic sort of way anyway) prior to Neji's death (which upset me greatly).  I doubt the movie will rectify it, Kishi's focus is on the events and plot and not on the romantic development.
In all honesty, the women of Naruto are very disappointing characters in comparison to the men...even Tsunade and Sakura (and even Hinata, though to see her pull of her clan techniques and utilize her clan bloodline was at least something~).  I have a hard time liking Sakura's character simply because whatever potential she was said to have in the beginning she simply never used.  She has a brain, she's an excellent healer, but as a kunoichi the only thing she really seems to do is kick and punch and summon slugs...even being able to pull off the Creation Rebirth technique, it only heals her and makes her basically borderline immortal.  Even Naruto learned more jutsu, Sakura seemed to stunt her growth once she learned to be a medic nin and how to possess Tsunade's strength.
Sakura had a lot of potential to become a powerful kunoichi, but to see her not only fall short but to relapse into being the Sasuke fangirl is just awful...

You are also definitely right, I've heard so many different things without proper sources and even when I try to look it up it's hard to tell what's a reliable one (heck, I wonder if I could even find that interview I was talking about, I'll probably double check my facts here soon to see if I can figure out exactly Kishimoto's thoughts, if he said anything at all).

It did have depth, though my biggest problem with it is just Sakura's occasionally abusive treatment of Naruto (which I understand is supposed to be comical and isn't anything like how she used to treat them when they were kids which was down right cruel...it's just not something I care for.  I only can get behind that kind of relationship if the character deserves it, as in he's a smart ass or so downright stupid it can be rude in social situations...but most of the time Naruto's a pretty level headed character in Shippuden, albeit somewhat clueless but he doesn't deserve to get hit or yelled at all of the time for it...).  Sasuke DEFINITELY didn't deserve Sakura, the fact that she can still love him and give into him after all of that is just a disappoint in her character that Kishi allowed...-sigh-...

NaruSaku, even though I'm a NaruHina fan, does in fact make the most sense simply because of the way the story line progressed and how he presented the characters...Naruto did bring out the best in Sakura and her likewise, they were extremely close~ I just personally can see NaruHina happening as well, albeit not as likely as NaruSaku and it does require a bit of imagination for it to happen (and perhaps adamant watching of the anime and the omakes where they have more interactions and Naruto has even said some nice things to her~).

I hope I didn't forget to address anything and I hope I made sense, it's now 5:30 in the morning so I'm a bit tired, sorry~

Thanks for being so kind, even though you support NH, I wish we all could just sit in a circle and talk like this about likes/dislikes without getting at each other's throat. I think that most NS shippers are just horribly hurt and heartbroken to discuss anything with a smile, although their recovery is fast as speed of light on tumblr. They are positive but it still hurts when a NH/SS shipper anonymously (or not) sends messages that we should just give up because NS isn't endgame, and "accept" "move on".... and stop being childish/butthurt/salty..... I don't think this is right and I'd be happy if they undrestood that if they were in our position, they would be doing the very same thing as us now.

All the women in the Kishiverse have been reduced to trophy or shipping fodder. Hinata could've been such a great warrior and leader, while aslo being a mother. But okay...maybe she's just happy the way she is, as you said,I wouldn't blame her. But it still feels like "ugh, I wanted to become stronger, even though I am weak....oh...wait...nevermind, all I need is to be by that person's side. Not like I wanted to be stronger THAT much"....if it makes any sense.

Sakura had been reduced to the 12-year old fangirl she was at the beginning. Actually, her fight with Chiyo and Sasori is one of the MOST memorable things that happened in the manga and it left a longlasting impression on me. It was simply amazing and spinechilling thing and Sakura was so cool back then. It was the very first shippuuden arc and we were shown that she grew as medic - saving Kankuro, as a woman - becoming even more beautiful in Naruto's eyes (the way he looked at her back then....T_T) and also as a shinobi - fighting and winning against Akatsuki member. She also made all the antidotes. She truly shined there...but after that....she became forgotten. Even her powerups have been poorly presented and badly timed imo.
As for Sakura's "abusive"treatment..... abusive may be a bit too strong word. The anime treated it as comic-relief, but...oh boy.... did I wish they'd stop it and find some other comic-relief. It was harming her character so much, making her look brute and unfeminine. She didn't deserve it. Hinata had been always treated more specially by the anime staff... all her filler eps were ALWAYS beautifully animated with top-notch artists and never ever was she placed in bad light. Sakura in stead was always treated like the brute tsundere - punching and kicking and not showing her cute side at all, even though she did have pretty cute moments in the past. It angered me a lot and I though that this really isn't fair treatment. This is also why I wished to see her finally being only tender to Naruto at some moment - like during her confession. Or when she was worried as he turned into fourtails....she was very gentle with him. I wished to see more of THAT Sakura.

If I'd take only the manga into consideration, NH had only very few chapters (someone counted it - only a few pages from 15 chapters in TOTAL ) but every small moment was always always positive. While in case of NS, there were plenty of good moments, but plenty of equally negative ones (in a way that she was crying, or they had an argument, or Sasuke hurt her and Naruto had tried to help but it was just overall sad)...I think this is why NS was doomed. Kishimoto just couldn't let the NS go. I wish he did. I really wish he did end it sooner if it wasn't meant to happen at all and stop with all the parallels and foreshadowing. It only made NS fans look stupid, even though all the paralels were legit and made sense and were logical....and it also made Sakura look like a fool.
I am also very sad that NS never got a closure. They deserved it. Naruto deserved to confess, Sakura deserved to make a statement and at least explain why the hell she can't let Sasuke go (even though that would be best for her). I rather would've seen Sakura single than with Sasuke. Same with him - I like Sasuke in my own way but he just doesn't seem to be a family person. He went through dark things and even though he has a family in 700, he still seems to wander off from home anyway.
OH well.

Thank you for the opinions!

Oh you're very welcome, and thank YOU~!  A nice discussion like this with others about lieks/dislikes would be so nice, I rarely have a polite and respectful discussion as this about anything because people get so abrasive and defensive~ I admit, I've had my moments before as well but I try very hard to always be polite and understanding and even if I can never agree with or understand a like someone has I'll at least give them the right to like it and chalk it up to "Hey, I have my weird interests too~who am I to judge?".  I agree, some people are so insensitive and I know I would've been devastated if the roles had been reversed.  Granted, many people don't fully engage in a story enough to particularly care as much as a shipper does, thus they can "let it go" and they'll wonder why everyone else isn't doing the same...but then they fail to consider the feelings of people and even if something didn't make sense to me I wouldn't simply tell a person to "accept it and move on" (since when does that phrase really work, anyway?)

As for the bits on Hinata, they make perfect sense~ after consideration I do agree completely with you~ At first upon reading the chapter I was very happy with the ending just because I'm a sucker for romances and what could be considered a happy and satisfying ending...but after a while of thinking about it and reading opinions I've come to decide that yes, it was so lacking and the characters deserved so much more.  Hinata deserved more, and if at the very least it could've been shown that she was offered  more and chose to settle, maybe being happy that she had proven herself enough to be given the chance for more or something like that, that'd have made it better...but really it seems like a rushed ending with lack of consideration for the characters themselves...Hinata has the capabilities to be a great leader and mother and I'm simply left to wonder why Kishimoto left those ideas in the dust.  He left questions to be wondered and instead answered the least important question - who ended up with who? (Let's face it, even for shippers we'd rather have an understandable ending and be left to come up with pairings ourselves rather than be told who ends up with who with no substance and proper closure otherwise~ aside form the rabid fans, we have an appreciation for the story and characters themselves and can be forgiving as long as it all makes SENSE and the characters are treated with the respect they deserve~)

I'll concede that "abusive" was too harsh, it WAS meant to be comical and I can understand the comedy of it but my God yes, it should've been dropped or at least reduced.  Along with the Hinata fainting gag...I love her but that got old quite fast, but at least her little screen time helped to balance it out.  The fight against Sasori was truly an amazing one and I was so proud of Sakura that whole arc.  I thought it was so cool that she made the antidotes and saved Kankuro's life, I was just flat out giddy~ I was thinking to myself "Finally! She's becoming a kunoichi, she's not a useless character!" And granted she still wasn't useless but the staff truly did let her slip into mediocrity and I really would have liked to seen more of her highlights.  Those tender moments of hers reminded me of why Naruto was her friend because she truly was a loving and caring one~ but as you said, there were equal bad moments and as someone that was Naruto's best friend other than Sasuke, someone that grew to understand him and stand by him and accept him even with the demon fox inside of him, she deserved better than that kind of treatment. Hinata was put into a fantastic light and I love it, but Sakura should've received the same treatment.  They really did drag out that NS possibility, and I can understand the pain and frustration the fans feel...it's like a huge slap in the face, really.  Closure was needed but never received and dammit Naruto deserved to say his feelings properly and Sakura deserved the chance to be honest with herself for the readers to understand, even if it was to stand by a man that pushed her away and suddenly wanted her by his side in the last chapters (hes definitely not a family man...of course he'd be haunted by the life he's lived, adding a quick romance just because Sakura loved him from the beginning isn't going to blend well with him...).  Gentle and honest Sakura needed to shine more, and I know if I had seen more of it I would've grown to like the NS pairing more even though I'm sure NH still would've been my preference~

Very true, NH wasn't highlighted a lot in the manga so it is definitely and understandably strange that they ended up together.  The movie DOES look like it'll possibly fill in the romance where it's lacking, but I have to wonder how Naruto can let go of Sakura because even though it was, in my eye, just a crush it was still his first love and a very strong love in itself.  I remember my first real crush/love, it took years to get over it but what helped me get over it was meeting my now husband...and one could theorize that Hinata's confession to him opened his eyes to the possibilities he had and forced him to consider his feelings and what he'd truly want, thus leading him to Hinata...but that's still a bit of a stretch without proper filler to illustrate it.  NS was truly the most logical and in the end the fans were blindsided.
-Sigh- But yes, Oh well....

Thank you for your opinions as well, they certainly helped me consider things from a different light~ Thanks for bearing with mine~!

Well.........the children. I think they...are kind of cute (?) but Himawari is kind of a bit....meh? She looks like fanart, her design doesn't resemble Hinata at all, it doesn't seem right. Also, why does Salada look like Karin, nbody explained. Why does she wear Karin's glasses even.... and has her character traits? O__o it's liek Karin reborn in childform. I do like the design of Kurenai's child though

I am also confused with the byakugan thing. AND the whiskers. The whiskers were a trait that Naruto's been given by Kurama's chakra. So why do the kids have those, no idea. And why they don't have byakugan.....no idea....

So, I heard this rumor that Kishimoto had allowed his assistant to take the reins for ch700, and so these are mostly the assistant's ideas with Kishimoto's express permission. If so, this would make a lot more sense, but... Yeah, the Byakugan thing just gets me. Why are Bolt's eyes like Naruto's? Naruto technically doesn't have a bloodline, or at least, Kushina never taught him their special technique or whatever.

Then there's freaking SS's child. That's messed up. I honestly feel like Sasuke got Karin pregnant, Karin bounced, Sasuke told Sakura, "Hey, raise this brat," and Sakura was like, "Uh, okay?"

I feel so bad for Kishimoto, that his assistant ruined his characters. If I were Kishimoto I would push that dumbass aside and fix all that shit in the chapters, not just the pairings. It doesn't quite make sense for someone to let his ASSISTANT write the resolution for his masterpiece though.

This information though, has made me feel alot better. If it was Kishimoto that wrote 700, I would feel awfully betrayed, because he gave me so much hope on Narusaku. I suppose popularity, and assistants won out in the end though.

Kishimoto wrote the ending. Both chapters.

How did he give you hope for NaruSaku after Chapter 469?! You know, when Sakura confessed to Naruto...which was one big LIE to his face?

lol You're awesome.

Nah, the resolution was 699. There originally wasn't supposed to be a 700, so Kishi was prolly all, "EH. I DON'T CARE. YOU TAKE IT, PERSON."

Yeah, 700 was done by his assistant. Also, the movie has been written by another person -_-;; Also...the spinoff is going to be written by someone else.

Idk, the kid's designs don't make much sense - they are either a really blatant mix of the parents or the main three look lik ethey popped out f different mothers than it is being shown. Sakura's kid is basically copypaste Karin - even personality-wise... The glasses don't make sense. Boruto looks like Naruto but the hair is shaped like flower....so it's hinting at....what....? Sakura? And lastly.....Himawari...well...... Q__Q not good. At least that's my opinion. Could've been better.

Should've been better. His assistant is a dipshit.

GROW THE FUCK UP! Kishimoto wrote it. He wrote the script to the movie and did the character designs. He wrote chapter 700 (Its his manga, not the assistants whose only job is to help with the artwork). Grow the hell up and accept it!

”ナルトと言えば、サクラに淡い恋心を抱いていたが、今回はナルトを秘かに想っていたヒナタとの関係に変化 が…。原作で描かれていない時代に、この2人に何が起きていたのか、確かめることができそうだ ”

"Speaking of Naruto, he [once] had light/faint feelings for Sakura but this time he will change his relationship with Hinata [there will be a change in their relationship] who has always secretly been in love with him… It appears like we’ll be able to verify what happens between these two during the period of time that had not been drawn/written in the original work.”

Naruto never loved Sakura, like I thought it was always a crush

honestly? I kinda wish Kishi would make a new ending with NaruSaku (I mean c'mon there were so many implications!!!And what about their character development? was that all for noth?) saying "Sorry readers this is what I really wanted to make but I was forced otherwise!!!" though that propably won't happen For me Naruto ended at chap 699...
