A Special Message for A Special Friend~A Message to @happygav123 aka Gavin Pierce -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Gavin, you’re an amazing person. Even though you’ve been around for 19 years, I didn’t meet you until fairly recently! And over the past few months, you and I started to become very good friends to the point where I’d consider you as one of my best friends. Not only that but you and I share a few similarities such as Yoshi being our favorite character, we both enjoy drawing the same kind of stuff, and we even act alike sometimes! And to think that I met you through DeviantArt of all places is kinda silly now that I think about it. Regardless, I’m really enjoyed my time on DA, and it’s mainly because of you buddy~ ^^ Now at first, we were just acquaintances. I first met you around May of 2023 and the first deviation I favorited from you was the one where Yoshi was taking a selfie. I thought the comic was super funny, so I decided to look through your gallery to see your other work and I instantly got hooked into your cute art style and original characters! Now I didn’t end up watching you yet but still kept in touch with the art you were posting, and we even started chatting for a bit! Then a few weeks later in June, I came across your Stuffed Dinos deviation with Yoshi and Birdo stuffed with huge bellies which was something I thought was cute and funny! But then, after seeing a handful of the past roleplays you did with other users, it gave me the idea to do a roleplay of my own. So, I created a character named Kyle and kindly asked if you wanted to do a roleplay with the Stuffed Dinos image! And to my surprise, you said yes! So then afterward, we did our very first roleplay together and even though it was very short and flawed, it was still fun! Because of how much fun I had with roleplaying with you, it led me to do more and more roleplays with you and I even got to play as some of your original characters which was just so much fun to do! Putting Yoshi and all the others in these silly and fun scenarios is something I didn’t think I’d enjoy, but I do, and it allowed me to roleplay with a bunch of other people! After enough roleplays I finally started following and watching you on DA! ^^ Speaking of other people, by meeting you I ended up gaining a bunch of new friends on DeviantArt and being able to interact with these new friends like Kyle (blueyoshiegg), Keri (ZookieDragon), Chris (VoltnFwends), George (YoshiLover2020), and more wouldn’t be possible without you. I’m super happy everyone enjoys talking with me and I’m proud to be a member of the DeviantArt community! Also, one thing I wanted to mention is that chatting with you Gavin just always puts me in a good mood! One time I had a super slow day and wasn’t feeling the best, but then I talked with you for a bit on Discord that night and it made me feel much better since it was just nice to chat with a friend. ^^ But easily the best part about meeting you has to do with my own art. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have been given a source of encouragement and inspiration in order to create and draw my own Yoshi-related art, and I also wouldn’t have made my original characters like Kyle, Melissa, and Trevor! It sounds silly when I say this, but you quite literally changed my life. By seeing your Yoshi art, it inspired me to get into drawing Nintendo and Yoshi-related things and it felt great! You got me into drawing during my free time again, you allowed me to gain a small following on DeviantArt and you made me become more active on DA which allowed me to meet a bunch of new people on the site! All of this wouldn’t be possible without you Gavin, and I can’t thank you enough for that~ I wanted to include more in this message, but if I include more stuff, I’m just gonna run of out of things to say. Regardless, I wrote this special message for you buddy because you’re just a great person to chat and interact with, and DeviantArt without be the same for me nor would it be as enjoyable as it has been if I never met you.
