I digs, Nate. I think the sword though suffers a tad from the simplicity of the lines. Because of the angle you're showing with the tsuba/handguard I think some of the interior of the blood groove should be shown in a more 3D way. Otherwise the sword looks like it's twisting.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Should've spent more time on the perspective of the sword.
Actually if you've seen the Night Warriors animated series, the sword does twist and bend a bit sometimes.. But yeah, I should've tried to make it look more solid here. Thanks for the feedback.
