Holy crap, IΒ΄m so jealous because you photographed a WILD wolf and a lovely one as well! 
I went to Yellowstone in 2006 for 2 weeks, but never saw any signs of wolves, not even tracks...theyΒ΄re really anxious and avoid humans! But what I saw 3 times were wild bears, this was awesome! One of them was right next to the highway, but sadly just at this moment my camΒ΄s battery got empty! Bad thing! I have taken a bear photo, but itΒ΄s not really good because the bear was far away and I had my reasons for not leaving the car 
But a really awesome thing was being very close to a wild moose and shooting photos of it...and these photos were awesome!
Also saw coyotes, but theyΒ΄re too fast to photograph..

actually we had been bedded down behind some thick sagebrush photographing coyotes on the elk kill before the wolves showed up. the wolf in this photo (the alpha female) ate first and after she was full she walked up onto this little hill and gave us a quick glance.

Use to have a hunting partner that kinda looked like him. I called him "redding" cuz that's what I was taught. "He got that name because that's how he introduces himself."
I finally met him, After wanting to walk over and complement this wonderful guy that was hiding in the brush for his incredable ability with a goose call, I din't want to blow his cover and spoil his hunt.....I was happily freezing to death, waiting for the sun to crest the mountains...
...his "gun" suddenly went off, no noise or motion just an explosion of bright pink.......Strange?....a little while later, it happens again.....
Never did find that poacher, but his dog looked just like yours, Mister.

Great shot of his eyes, i am so surprised that i saw a wolf when i went just a few weeks ago that i saw one, and that it came within 20 yards of us, When there are people like you that go for years, and still almost never see them. Great shot, the eye color is stunningly dark on this specimen =3

This is a very nice shot, not easy to get a wild wolf that close. It even looks like the wolf is looking at you. This makes me want to use it for a photo manipulation ... that's if you give me the permission to use it.
