I'm using the armors ONLY to make my team stronger but I still feel very lecherous. D8...And that's how far I've played Persona 3 FES so PLEASE, NO SPOILERS.
EDIT: Oh right, I've played it through already.

I've been planning to replay both P3 and P4 so that I'd get an inspiration boost and make some more fan art.

It does build up defense, heck the minute i got it the first time I played I equipt it to Yukari. But who woud of thought Minato had it in him ^^.

No but high defense by default is good, I've never been very good at defending with my characters/blocking enemy hits so... :'D

And in FES the random effects attached to the armors that you find in chests vary, so its entirely possible to find High-Cut Armor that has the "Resist Elec" or "Resist Fire" properties, which can respectively cancel Yukari's and Mitsuru's weaknesses to those elements. Β
Which naturally prevents those elements from knocking them down, making them lose turns, and giving the enemy extra turns. Β
So in such cases, until you can get better resist element gear using a resist element high cut armor for them if you found one would be the entirely logical thing to do. Β
For instance, my file's Mitsuru has a resist Fire High-Cut Armorβ¦. at the moment, its either that or use a Sun-arcana forged sword. Β Β

Yup, this is my situation right now. And, unfortunately for the ladies, it is actually the best armor I have right now. Or it will be at least until the next time I go to Tartarus. Just happened to get enough to buy one of the most expensive armor for each person. Still, I'm not selling them. Hell, I even have an extra.
