I never said anything like that, just that I'm in full support of Kravitz being cast. Batgirl has been a POC in the comics before; why shouldn't Catwoman? After all, nobody cared when Harvey Dent, who was black in the first two Batman movies, was suddenly white in the third movie (and speaking of which, I'd love to see a black Two-Face; it'd add all kinds of subtext and dimensions to his character).Β

You're blowing my comment out of proportion, all I said was that I'm in favor of characters being portrayed differently and that I think it would add additional subtext for Two-Face to be a POC (for example being conflicted over whether or not to support the law). I never said anything about equality, just that it'd be nice to see a POC or two in a major role.
So what if they were white when they were first introduced, what do fans have against a little creativity (in this case, having the characters played by people of color for a change)?Β
And all I came to say was that while I would have cast a Filipino actress as Catwoman, I think Kravitz is a wonderful choice.
