For the first day of Rhaegar and Lyanna: AU week I am finally able to share these two commissioned pieces that I’ve been working on, that I was so happy to create!
King Rhaegar and his two queens, Lyanna Stark and Elia Martell. This is fanart of the main characters of the fanfic “The Lost Emperor” on Ao3! (I have not read the fanfic, but the contents seem interesting and I may read it in the future sometime!)

Nice fanart.
But I got to be honest rhaegar and lyanna should have gotten the verbal ass ripping of a life time because let's not forget that they both started the rebellion which in result costed the lives of thousands of men, women, and children including lyanna's older brother Brandon and her father rickard.
Not to mention ned and oberyn will be pissed at rhaegar and lyanna.
Cause for ned I bet ever since the faithful day at the tourney of harrhenal when rhaegar gave lyanna the queen of love and beauty instead of to his wife elia Martell. People are honestly gossiping that if lyanna stark is sleeping with rhaegar which in result is having everyone questioning her honor. Plus not to mention she did willingly go with rhaegar instead of being kidnapped like everyone expected.
For oberyn even though in dorne it's ok to have a mistress....sort of. He would have still been pissed as he loves his sister elia very much and is protective of her so I'm honestly suprised he doesnt want to stab rhaegar in the chest with his spear for ruining elia's honor by running away with another woman.
And not to mention that I'm surprised there hasnt been a very very angry mob of small folk mostly with few minor lords but mostly the commoners because many have lost their fathers, brothers, sons, cousins, uncles, nephews, grandfathers, and grandsons plus best friends who died fighting in combat whether for the rebels it's of rescuing lyanna stark and also overthrowing the mad king or the loyalists trying to defend their prince rhaegar. Also adding the fact that families also got killed in the crossfire or got sacked from either parties due to whatever land they are on.
Plus another fact that fans are speculating if rhaegar had his own kind of madness and that is his obsession with the propchey of the long night and trying to find his third dragon head.
I'm sorry if this may sound rude but let's be honest for rhaegar and lyanna if they survived the rebellion and rhaegar won. Alot of people are gonna be demanding justice for the actions of rhaegar and lyanna.
But still nice art and I apologize for the rant but that is honestly what I think can happen realistically.

Aegon managed to do it and Maegor managed to do it with several different women, I think it’s possible 💁🏻♀️ however I think there’s a reason things ended up turning sour so quickly so who knows

I think Eddard and Oberyn would be beyond pissed off, though. They would think that Rhaegar had dishonored their respective sisters. But would Lyanna and Elia be cool with having to share the king?

Eddard may have been slighted that's fair, but Oberyn wasn't so close-minded to the idea of open relationships as everyone seems to think he would be. And neither one of them seems to openly despise Rhaegar in the first place; we never hear them talk about him in harsh words. We don't know yet how Lyanna or Elia felt about the situation bc GRRM has been extremely cryptic about the entire thing. I can't really say if they'd all come to an agreement on matters of love/marriage/succession by the time Rhaegar eloped/ranaway with Lyanna, but I believe Dorne knew everything that was going on, and Elia was aware of everything as well. I also can't say how things may have progressed if Rhaegar was able to get away with having them both as wives, but the author of this fanfiction seems to have a pretty good idea, so my suggestion would be to start with that if you're looking for answers
