So I've been working on this giant Sans since last year and I've finally gotten all the foam sewn in place! ;v;
This is just the armature and I plan to fill out the midsection with a dense foam pillow (for a belly) and then build the rest of the bones with shaped fleece and lots of stuffing. Right now, it's just cotton rope wrapped in wire (for posing) and then padded with stretchy, slightly rubberized foam.
His head is actually done (and pulling a convincing "poor Yorick" sitting on my dresser) but I'm waiting to take pictures of that until he's fully assembled. He'll be either at or just above five feet (152.4 cm) tall when I'm done! xvx
I fully intend to finish him before Christmas so "Sansta" can visit xD

I was actually watching a video of someone unboxing some gifts they got for a story they wrote on AO3. They pulled out this tall Sans doll and he was all floppy xD It was well made, but the floppiness weirded me out. Shortly after that, I started planning out how to make my own Sans >v>
So I guess my Sans was born of jealousy xD

Yep, six months to plan out the design and test materials and already another six months just to make the armature and wrap it in foam.
Probably at least another three-four months to make white covers (to hide the green of the foam and protect the joints from getting bound up with stuffing), 3D model the bones and print out the designs, cut and sew the fleece in place stuffing as I go... Yeah, lots to do yet xD

Pfft, totally didn't realize one of my dogs photo bombed this xD Took me a few minutes to find her in the background!
And nah, she doesn't chew stuff. Neither does the other thankfully. I'm being careful to keep all their hair out of everything even though air=hair in my house x_x
Sans will stay in my room once he's done and none of the animals go in there xD

I spotted the chew toy first, then the food and kennel, then the sleepy pupper. I then had an image in my head similar to the Annoying dog grabbing Papyrus's leg and running off and him yelling at him to return it immediately.

If there was any way to make this easily, I'd totally be up for making one for someone else, but it's such a pain in the butt x_x Never mind the fact that while I was sewing foam onto the hands he kept awkwardly falling into my lap. People walk in and are like "Uh..." and I have to hurriedly say "I'm sewing! I swear!" >_<

Well, ever since I got my small Sans plush, I've wanted a "life size" one. It took six months of planning and materials tests before I settled on how I was gonna tackle it. xD
I really wanted a posable Sans (because floppy bones look weird) but I didn't want to get stabbed with wires. It's been a strange journey, to be sure. Strapping the pillow to his midsection is tomorrow's challenge xvx

I hope that it isnβt as difficult as the foam >~< but seeing as kids are insanely tall these days, 5 foot would be a perfect height for him xD. After I make a sans cosplay, I might put it on here

I don't think it'll be too difficult, I just need to make sure it doesn't detach from the armature or shift around weirdly.
So I actually have all the pieces for a Sans cosplay xD I totally plan on dressing him in those clothes (with a few alterations since I'm taller) once he's done
But it'd be super cool to see your cosplay once it's done!
