Frédéric Chopin from Eternal Sonata, after a loooong time.Somehow I never managed to get some photos of him, although this costume was awfully much work and awfully much money. It's a stage costume and I usually don't take Shootings of stage costumes when they've been made especially for stage use, but this time I'm makin an exception.
The thing about stage costumes is that they're made to look good in stage light, that means a whole lot of sequins, shiny fabrics, glitter and everything. And also sometimes things have to be altered so you can move the best way possible. Please keep that in mind when I post more photos. Because here you can't see it of course XD
Today was a very VERY hot day and the sky was just perfect for Eternal Sonata. I strengthened the colors so the whole thing would look more radiant, as the world of Eternal Sonata does. I added the little stars and the darkness to represent both of Chopin's sides and worlds. Those of you who know the game, surely know. The rest - please enjoy it nonetheless!

I liked the game, especially how whimsical the world was, and this captures that same feeling. The only thing is that I can tell that Chopin is a girl, and I feel like a more masculine pose could have compensated for that a bit; when fighting Chopin held his cane forcefully, like a conductor does when conducting a song (like if you got too close you might get your eye gauged out, lol). I feel like if it was a stronger pose, and not so delicate, that it just would have brought out his character more. I also love the grasses at the bottom of the photo but I feel like since they are so tall, that they made Chopin feel a lot shorter, which kind added to the lack of masculinity (and he was also really tall in the game). Overall, I love the colors, landscape, and costume, but I didn't feel like it really took on the character's personality.

Depends on the conductor and the song and what's going on in the song. My band director held his baton in many different ways depending on the song. it really, really depends on the piece and the conductor's style..

My reaction when I first saw this was some sort of nasally stuttering noise of shock that cannot be reproduced with words. You see, even before i got the game, I was a ginormous Chopin fangirl. So even though I seem all clam in type... really, I'm bouncing off the walls and squeeing like no tomorrow.
From what I can see of the costume, stage or not, it looks lovely and detailed. I think you did a lovely job on it. ^^
