I've been thinking about cosplay... but everything I would wanna do shows a lot more skin or is all tight like that... and I just don't have the confidence to wander around in it. Not that I'd like burn anyone's eyes or anything, but I'd spend an entire con looking for a sweatshirt or something to cover myself up. Takes balls to do that hahahah so kudos

Well actually I kinda know how you feel! I've been a chubby child and my self esteem wasn't really high... So wen I starded doing cosplay, everything I did was really covered up! But I can't help loving those sexy characters, so I decided to build a new confidence for myself. But I took baby steps! I first wore shorter skirts, then some cleavage, then my stomach, and I finally got to the catsuits and comic-ish clothing. It wasn't a quick process, but I have now much more self esteem and love for myself, cosplay helped me a lot with it, because I wanted to incorporate those characters I so much loved.
You should try it sometime! ;D

hahaha I'd like to! For now I do the ren faire stuff... which is sorta like historical cosplay? I've heard most people at cons are actually pretty nice, and not so critical- so at least I wouldn't have to worry about that so much.

hahah I'll have to! I have an idea to build a costume for the true/human form of Midna from zelda twilight princess... but if you google the images... you'll see lots of fleshy bits- plus you have to have this grayish skin and I'd want to get an airbrush (which I'm guessing isn't cheap). But yeah I think I will some day!
