Very nice!
When I saw a teaser clip I was excited over the new look of the hyenas, and eager to see the movie, until they showed Scar. Then I was "Pfft! Forget this!" Same movie, but with ugly emasculated lions.
Either make a fantasy children's movie, or make a BBC nature documentary, Disney's mash-up didn't work.

This is much better. When I watched the movie it was very boring to me. It's the same story but the visuals just made the movie dull.

More importantly, you gave him a sapient expression, not that cat look that could mean "I'm angry", "leave me alone", "I wanna sleep", "what a dumbass" and "feed me" at the same time.

There was "fix-it Fanfics" and now there's "Fix-it Fanart". This is perfect! And wayyyyyy more facial expression than anything the movie did!

Maybe Scar was once strong an healthy and that's why his mane was dark? Idk it doesn't seem like a big deal to me...They should have made him accurate to the original.

Great work! And yes the black mane was just to make him evil. It's an artistic stand point!

Well, I think now that you mentioned it, it kinda now makes sense why in 2019 he looks unhealthy. It's shown that Scar was indeed weaker than Mufasa. You have to remember, they were going for a more realistic approach. In the wild, the black mane indicates the lion is healthy, well fed and strong. Scar is none of these things. Shoot, he believes that only lionesses should hunt, which means he may even lack the ability to hunt by himself or at least as well. So they're just going by realistic standards here.
And yes, "be faithful to the classic" but the remake is not the classic. With this one, they're trying to do it's own thing.(It doesn't succeed 100% but ya know, that's what they're kinda going for.) It's not suppose to be the classic. I kinda see these remakes as any other retelling of anything. I mean, if we're going to get mad at the remakes, we might as well be getting mad at them for the "classics" since the original animated movies are just retellings of classic fairy tales that Disney took and changed but it's those changes that we like.
So in my point of view, don't look at these remakes as trying to be 100% the original or capture the classic tale, but another retelling of the same story with some twists here and there. That's why I haven't been mad myself at the remakes. We're always going to have the classics. Shoot, they rerelease the classics to blu-ray and dvd every decade. Disney knows they can't replace their classics. They're just at that phase where they're just trying somethings until the next big hit, which has always been Disney's strive. They hit the mark with some new stuff, have a few years of depression and then they bounce back up with the latest hit. It happened with the Disney Sequels and before the Renaissance, they had a dark few years until the Little Mermaid.

Pardon me but, what TechouNoPenki said is true. Every single detail. It’s a matter of enjoying the movie for what it is, the original Lion King will always be available for anyone to see. Don’t you get it? the remake might exist, and there might be mixed feelings as well but the original will never be replaced. Remember Disney, the same as anything else in the world, can’t satisfy everyone. It’s just impossible.

Yeah but then it would be kinda pointless. The story already isn't very different the 1994 version. They had to do something a little different to the character so he wasn't just the same as 1994. It wasn't meant to be the 1994 Scar. It's a different rendition. Sorta like how corny 1960s Batman is not the same as the 1990s Batman or the later 2000s grittier Batmans and the Lego Batman. It's just a different rendition and people don't complain about those so much because we're use to seeing superhero movies taking new forms. This is the first ever Lion King was told differently and therefore people are going to have mix reactions.
It's part of why and how stories stay in our mind for so long. That's why they're doing these remakes in the first place. Walt Disney made the classics so that people would know of these classic fairy tales in some form. I did some research. Before Walt Disney died, he made his studio promise to do these remakes every 10 years or so, so that a new generation would have the same kind of story but one of their own. It was in his will. So pretty much, you're gonna have to get use to it.

This image is kinda saddening, though. I believe the original photo was a photo of Cecil the Lion... (If you don't know who Cecil is, please look him up!)
But then again, people photoshop dogs that are probably dead today, so I'm not sure what I mean. Good image nonetheless! Not excited to see the remake of The Lion King, but certainly excited this image exists!

Not to be that person, but it isn't liveaction, it's photorealism ^^
If it was liveaction, then I would be concerned...
Very nice edit though, looks super nice.
(I didn't enjoy the new film.. it was pretty much like the original)

But it was worse than the original.
There wasn't really a point in seeing it.. or even making it other than to get more money from people.
It just wasn't special at all.
Even the photorealism wasn't fun, the characters lacked expressions and kinda went into the uncanny feel.. especially Timon for some reason.

I disagree. Actually, from the very beginning of the movie I was crying because it all was so beautiful to me. I'm sad that other people couldn't appreciate the great effort people made to create something as magical as this. I don't know why people didn't see expression, because I saw it. In their eyes you could see the pain and joy. I really appreciated the art of it all. It will definitely be a movie that I show my future children.

I didn't see really any emotion in it really. I never said I don't appreciate the effort, but it's just something I would never watch again just because I couldn't find anything good about it. I didn't cry at all during it, not even during Mufasa's death... it just felt way too off and it honestly almost made me laugh from how weird it looked (especially Simba yelling after Mufasa).
I just think they could of done a bit more expressions for them.. most of the time they looked neutral faced... and lions can be extremely expressive, especially when sad or scared.
The animals look pretty great, however sometimes the movements can look unnatural (the wildebeest running shows that the most for me).
I just wish that the expressions were better.

Exactly.
I did enjoy the Jungle Book remake, because it actually changed how the original was and was worth seeing the differences.
I never really enjoyed the original (but loved the songs) just because it felt too child-friendly...
