i wonder what happened to Thrall after the war against the Iron Horde?

After helping to stop the Iron Horde and then Gul'dan and the demons on Draenor, he helped to fight against the demons on Azeroth before having a crisis of faith in himself. Losing some of his control over the elements because of this crisis, he gave the Doomhammer to the player character and sat back, retiring of a sort to be with his wife and kids. Only in the patch that's coming out next is he coming back, to be involved with some spoiler events.
