Description EDIT : Fixed small details and stuff.

READ.THE.DESCRIPTION.

I'm not heterophobic. So keep reading.

I understand that characters can't be always homo. But they can't be always straight as well, y'know? Why complain about being homo but not about them being het?

< Persons complains about character being gay when their sexuality isn't defined yet.

< Yet don't complian about characters whose homosexuality is canon and being straight.

Does not compute.

Nothing aganist Het, I'm straight myself but I find somewhat hipocryte. IS making a character gay a sin or what?

Every comment is welcome, as long as you're mature.

Don't be afraid of disagree. c:

People are going to kill me for this. Expect another stamp soon.

I feel like there should be a partner (or whatever they're called) to this to "stop making everyone gay"
Don't get me wrong, you make valid points, but i guess in certain fanbases the opposite is true....

You know that's a two way street, right?

People could make the same exact stamp, but with gay. The sexuality isn't defined; it can go either way depending on the person.

Every shipping pair I'm a fan of is straight. That doesn't make me a homophobic, does it? No. You're judging us for liking straight pairings just like people "judge" you.

Infact, I hate yaoi. But I'm no homophobic. I digress. You have every right to make YOUR pairings gay, so we can make our pairings straight. It's an equal rights thing.

Yeah, I know but there are some....insane hetero fans. They just won't stop about how wrong is yaoi/yuri and say how Hetero is the best thing ever and it just drives me crazy. All they do is complain about how every character should be straight and that's what bothers me. However, I'm okay with persons that dislike homo pairings and doesm't BAWWWW about homo pairings, and vice-versa.

Like I've been saying, all these homophobics keep complaining about the "homosexual lifestyle" being shoved down their throats when it's really the exact opposite. Heterosexuality is everywhere in the mainstream media, while homosexuality is rather rare.

i agree. How about, "stoping making the characters a sexuality that they are not."

I meen, if the character is gay, the character is gay. if the character is straight, then let it be. if the character is unknown. KEEP IT THAT WAY.

XD

To some extent I think it may be an extreme of the 'write what you know' thing. A lot of people have reservations about including those kinda things in their 'character roster', just because they don't really understand the feelings and don't wanna misrepresent them. A half-hearted attempt to step outside this author-comfort-zone can quickly devolve into a 'token gay character' type of presence.

I know -I- have a hard time doing much with gay males in my stories, just because 'asdf boys; I hardly even know what those -are-'. The last gay guy featured in my fiction was part of a tragic backstory where he'd fallen in love with his asexual best friend. Oops. I treated it seriously, and gave it a 'balanced sense of emotion' or whatever, but it tells you a bit about how little I understand what boys are actually like, or what they want to do.

Then again, some of it is just 'write what you know as if other things don't exist', kinda like how everyone is fiction is white.

I guess you're right, I was a bit extreme and all. I should fix the description a bit.

That sound like an interesing story. I know that feeling,I don't really know how boy are like or they tastes being a girl. Boys and girl are usually really different so we will never know.

Sorry for the short reply, I didn't know what to write, honestly. Is kinda difficult for me when it comes to reply comments like this, sorry. ;-;

I don't know what you think you were being 'extreme' about; it's a legitimate thing to be bothered by. It's just hard to actually address because writers aren't always confident that they won't make things worse instead of better. This whole 'limited ability to understand other people' stuff always seems to bring up lose-lose situations.

Hehe, me too. I'm still hoping that Athena's secretly lesbian, so we can be together
