This took around seven hours, and I really wanted to take up the detail level from my paintings recently. The actual subject was easy, but I really wanted the lighting and painting to be more involved. I actually quite like how this turned out, especially the background. The idea was accidental but worked really well, I love the white lines. I wanted the bush to be a bit more involved, but every time I tried to mess with it, it didn't look as good so I just left it. Her legs were my personal struggle though, the drawing was easy, the coloring was horrible.

might just be DA but I'd take up the dpi to 300 and it'll be perf, love the colours in this so much!!!

I love your color application. You don't just add black or white or dodge and burn (which is actually quite the same). You really play with hues which looks fantastic and vibrant.
Im not really sure about the palette though ... for me this is a summer image ... and the color range doesn't really fit summer colors for me - theres too much greenish blueish in the shadows. But this is only a personal thing for sure and I maybe only noticed it because I struggle with colors too right now and try to become better in coloring...

Oh, I see what you mean. Honestly, I just really wanted that intense contrast between warm skin and sunlight, and cool shadows, especially just below her hat. But it's a good point, and I may have to try a similar picture with a different palette at some point. :>> And colors will be my forever struggle, I love them so much, but they're so hard!
