in SAI I had only Amy on a layer. I selected her, then created a new layer under her. If you look at the menus near the top (file, edit, canvas, etc) there should be one called 'selection'. In the drop down menu there should be an option called 'increment'. It basically makes your selection a bit bigger each time you click it!! After I expanded the selection I just used the bucket tool on the layer I created under Amy. Aaaand that's it!! Hope I explained it well enough ;v;
