How do you get your ideas for backgrounds?

It depends on my mood, or personality of a horse, or info from owner, but sometimes I just yeaah, lets paint some snow or spring meadow

The lighting and shading are very well done. The horse fits so well into the scenery! The horse doesn't get lost into the background. Very nice work!
